Ever fancied being a seller at a craft fair, but never had the opportunity to take part due to family commitments, travel, or costs? Well, now you can!
The idea of CRAFTfest is to showcase sellers using interactive albums, 'your stall', which allows your sellers to browse and purchase items through an interactive link(s) in your product descriptions, 'your voice'.
Your stall will be open 24 hours a day during the SIX weekend events (dependant on how many you book) and all of our stall holders will be busy promoting themselves, the event and you throughout this time. Why struggle to promote yourself when you can have hundreds of others promoting with you!
How to join CRAFTfest
Book your stall. We have an online booking form here. Please ensure that you complete ALL of the fields, you can find an example of a completed form here. Please allow us 24 hours (not including weekends) to confirm your stall on the stalls page. Please note::The confirmation email that will send will include a document that we need you to complete and return which will allow you to choose which markets you wish to attend and provide us with required information.
Create your Stall Album on the network. You can find a ‘how to’ guide here.
On booking, you will be allocated a Team Leader who will be in touch with you via email, Creative Connections or Facebook shortly. When you have been confirmed on the Stall Page here you will also find a link to your allocated Forum Page. Please visit and introduce yourself. Your group is here to help you and promote you so please use it. You can find a list of Groups here.
Stalls will be added to the main category pages in the order booked. Although any empty or nonexistent stalls will be removed at the start of the event.
It is the Stallholders responsibility to create the stall album, add items, descriptions, prices and links to their images. The Stallholder must also submit a correct Stall Link (which must not be amended after submission) and a stall avatar image by the advised deadlines. You can do this here.
As with all online business events, one of the most important factors is promotion. Although we will be covering this ourselves, we cannot stress enough that you need to join us in shouting to everyone that will listen. Invite your customers to come and visit you during the CRAFTfest event. Members of the site will also be able to contact you via the site, and we would love as many of you as possible to host or attend chat events in our chat room at Creative Connections. This will all help in bringing attention to your products. Twitter, Facebook and Blogs are also essential tools to let people know that you will be offering your items for sale during the event. Visitors and customers to the fair do not have to be members unless they want to communicate with you, so we are expecting lots of traffic. We have provided an e-flyer and badges for your websites, to promote and show that you will be stall holding at CRAFTfest . You can find all your promotional material here
Although we have the entire network on Google Analytics and will provide regular updates on overall visitor numbers your images on the site will only register views by other members. The general public will not show on site. Our events sometimes receive over 122,000 views! We can get visitors to the site but please be aware that we cannot guarantee that they will click through to your websites or purchase your items. It is vitally important that you promote your work and upload clear images with well written descriptions and that the links are all in place.
During the event itself, the entire Creative Connections network will be transformed into CRAFTfest ! The usual tabs will still be available under the main header so you will still be able to access forums, blogs etc but the main horizontal tabs will become the stall categories. We will also have clickable images on the main screen to take visitors to the various stalls pages.
